He is not believed by anyone I've read to be the brother of Stephen Hopkins of the Mayflower. That Stephen's half-brother Wm was baptized 16 Jun 1575 in Upper Clatford, Hampshire, son of John Hopkins (who is not the son of a Stephen born in 1518 and a mythical Katherine Wheldon who was invented on LDS IGI and married to 2 other men (including Mayflower Stephen) before being assigned to Stephen in Norfork. We tracked her years ago before IGI was discontinued (in 2008).
