Johann Georg was was the son of daylabourer Friedrich Hornbacher and Barbara Walz. He was born on 16 Nov 1787 in Cresbach.[2][3] He first married Maria Catharina Weinläder on 28 May 1817.[4] After her death he married Christina Rauß on 16 Sep 1823.
