Biography

Isabella Jane Hornsby. [1]

Born 1858 St Pancras, Middx, London. [2]

Residence 1901 Leyton, Essex, England. [3]

Event: Fact 1. Novelist

Note: Isabella also authored a book, a work entitled Ruth Fielding. There is no reference to a date of publication, but my guess is that it was written in the latter part of the 19th century or very early in the 20th century because of the fact that she mentions the “Franco-German War”. The book is a love story and is very well written. Her writing style is very descriptive and I can see where Stewart’s influences may have come from. 2 Ethel E Hornsby(b 1880) (niece) was living with Isabella and Francis Farrar (at 1891 Census).

Isabella was born about 1858. She passed away in 1939. [4]
