Biography

Hon. Elizabeth Louisa Horsley-Beresford was born in 1814, the daughter of John Horsley-Beresford, 2nd Baron Decies^[1] and Charlotte Philadelphia Horsley. Louisa was baptised in Bolam, Northumberland, on 6 April 1814.^[2]

Louisa married Sir Ernest Augustus Charles Brudenell-Bruce, 3rd Marquess of Ailesbury, son of Charles Brudenell-Bruce, 1st Marquess of Ailesbury and Henrietta Maria Hill, on 25 November 1834 at St. George's Church, St. George Street, Hanover Square, London, England. They had seven children.^[3]

Louisa died at her home Biarritz, France, in 1891.^[4] Louisa had lived in France following the death of her husband.^[3] She was buried at Great Bedwyn, Wiltshire, England. ^[5]
