Mary (Hoss) Bowman was born in Tennessee.

Mary Ann Hoss was born in Washington, Tennessee in 1777, daughter of Jacob Hoss and Mary (Boone) Hoss.

Mary married Joseph Brem Bowman about 1806^[1]and was the mother of his four eldest children.
