Edward Howe, the child of Edward Howe and Elizabeth McDougall was born 25 Jul 1856 in Maitland, Nova Scotia. [1] He married 15 Mar 1883 in Maitland, Nova Scotia, Margaret Hannah Drillio. At that time he resided in Winnipeg, Manitoba. [2] In 1888, Edward worked for the railway in Moodyville, British Columbia. (Moodyville was a lumber mill town and is now part of North Vancouver.) Edward and Margaret a daughter, Elizabeth Howe and in March of 1888, Margaret Ferosa Howe. [3] The new infant's mother died near that time. By 1891, he was a house carpenter in New Westminster, British Columbia . [4]
Edward returned to Maitland and married second, on 25 Jan 1900 in Truro, Nova Scotia Elizabeth Cruikshanks (1863-1912). [5] They lived in Little River, Halifax, Nova Scotia. [6] Edward married third, Mary Layton (c.1870-1957), daughter of Jonathan Layton and Jessie Burnett, on 5 Nov 1913 in Stewiacke, Nova Scotia. [7] He died 7 Feb 1940 in Stewiacke, Nova Scotia. [8]
