Biography

I was appointed family historian by my grandmother and some of her sisters in 1962. I agreed to write, not memorize, and proceeded to do so. The beginning seemed straightforward. I'd write out what I was told and move on to things of greater interest to me. I must admit to being hooked. Totally. Thanks, Nannie! Now I am retired and happy to have more time to devote to genealogy.

Hi,

Thanks for catching my Hawkin-42/43 duplication. I don't know how I accomplished that. Sometimes when I add a new profile, it takes time to show up, so I think it did not go through. This does make me check "Ancestry" for new hints.

Are you related to this line, or just doing a general clean-up?

I did that because she spoke Sioux, and from what is noted in her biography, she had more than passing play relationship with the Sioux. Take it off if you don't like it. Dog comment not very nice.
