He married Susanna Colby on February 4, 1725/6. [4] Susanna was born at Amesbury on August 15, 1705, daughter of Samuel and Dorothy (Ambrose) Colby. [1][5]Their children were all born at Amesbury, but the family later moved to Newtown, New Hampshire.
Micah Hoyt of Newtown, wrote his will on December 24, 1768 and it was proved on February 22, 1769. In it he names: [6]

Dorothy born on March 7, 1730; married first, Enoch Challis on October 31, 1751[1]; married second Benjamin Carter before December 1768. [6] She was probably a twin to Susanna. [2]
Susanna born on March 7, 1729/30 [1]; married Abram Dow of New Salem (now Salem, New Hampshire). [2][6]
Abigail born on October 29, 1736 [1]; married Timothy Favour of Newtown (now Newton, New Hampshire). [2][6]
Micah [Capt] born on July 23, 1739; married Miriam Currier of Amesbury on July 19, 1759 [1]; was a Lieut. in revolution; lived in Newtown (now Newton, NH); died on June 8, 1807. His Widow Miriam died in Amesbury February 10, 1814. [2]
Benjamin born on September 17, 1739 [1]; married Sarah ___ (?Sally Colby); lived in Newtown; died testate October 25, 1807. [2][7]
Samuel born on September 17, 1741; died testate in 1813; married Sarah Currier; no children. Town clerk in Newtown for many years. [2]
Thomas born on July 17, 1743; married Eunice Hoyt, daughter of Timothy and Sarah Hoyt, intention published on November 14, 1761. [1] He was living in Newtown in 1768 but bought land in Dunbarton and later lived there. [2]
Lois born on February 22, 1746 [1]; married Moses Carleton. [2][6]
Eunice born on June 26, 1749 [1]; married Thomas Carleton. [2][6]
