Biography

David Hudson was born ca.1689 at "Mentmore" plantation in Somerset Co., Maryland, son of Henry Hudson and Lydia (Lidda) Schoolfield Smith. David was named son (listed 3rd, after Henry and Richard, before the other males) in the 1707 will of Henry Hudson (wife Lidda). Father Henry bequeathed to David a 200 acre tract "Poplar Ridge". ^[1]

Before 11 January 1706 he married Amy Parker, daughter of George Parker Sr. (of Parkers Creek) and Mary (-----) (m. 2nd Donas) On 11 January 1706 David (and Amy) Hudson were named administrators of the estate of Armwell Shewell, dec'd), Amy's former spouse. ^[2]

David passed away abt. 1754 in what had become Worcester Co. Maryland.
