Biography

Private Philip Huffman served in the United States Cavalry in the War of 1812

Phillip H Huffman was born in 1791 in Washington, Pennsylvania.

Military: Phillip fought in the War of 1812 at Port George 31 Aug 1813 under Capt. Morgans Co; a prisoner of war, exchanged 13 Apr 1814; and was discharged 14 Jul 1814 from Capt. Morris Co.

He married Letecia Stewart in Ohio[1]. They had seven children in 18 years: Richard Huffman 1828–1911; Hanna Huffman 1830–1879; Rachel Huffman 1832–; John Huffman 1835–1902; Nathan Huffman 1836–; Elisabeth Bolen 1838–1893; Daniel Huffman 1846–.

He died on December 14, 1866, in Antioch, Ohio, having lived a long life of 75 years, and was buried there[2].

Phillip was the son of Henry Huffman and Catherine Frey. He passed away in 1866 in Ohio. He was married to Letticia Stewart.
