Biography

Charlotte married Adolphus Slade in Battersea on on 27 August 1844^[1]. At the time of their marriage, Charlotte's residence was listed as New Dorset Place, Clapham Road.

At the time of the 1841 England and Wales Census, Henry, Charlotte, Charlotte, Emily, Rose, Julia, and Jane Hulme were listed as living in Camberwell, Surrey, along with Elizabeth Spurrell, Mary Anne Spurrell, and three other people^[2].

At the time of the 1851 England and Wales Census, Adolphuse Slade, his wife Charlotte, and their children Adolphus and Fanny were listed as living in Chislehurst, Kent, along with Adolphus' sister Catherine Slade^[3].

At the time of the 1861 England and Wales Census, Adolphus F., Charlotte A., Adolphus H., Fanny, Florence, Anny, Ernest, Walter, and Sidney Slade were listed as living in Chislehurst, Kent, along with Adolphus' sister Ann C. Slade, sisters-in-law Rosette A. Slade and Mary J. Slade, and five servants^[4].

At the time of the 1871 England and Wales Census, Adolphus F, Charlotte A, Adolphus H, Fanny, Florence, Amelia, Edmund, Ernest, Laura, and Alice Slade were listed as living in Chislehurst, along with Adolphus' sister Ann C Slade, niece Mary Ann Slade, and five servants^[5].

Charlotte died in Kingston, Surrey on 13 October 1878 at the age of 54^[6].
