Biography

Albert was born ca. Oct 1863 in Wisconsin. His father was born in New York, and his mother in Canada (Eng). His marriage record says his parents were Luther Humphrey and Harriet Spencer.^[1]

In 1870, Albert, his parents, and his two brothers -- Henry and Luther -- lived in Augusta, Eau Claire County, Wisconsin. Both of his brothers were born in New York. His father was born in Vermont; his mother in Canada.^[2]

He married Inez Colby (or Colberg) on 22 Oct 1885 in Dodge County, Wisconsin.^[1]

In 1900, he and Inez were living in Chicago, Illinois with their 14-year-old son Wilbur. Albert was working as a bookkeeper.^[3]

The family was still in Chicago in 1910, and Albert had his own accounting firm. This census listing gives his father's birthplace as Vermont instead of New york.^[4] Their residence in Chicago continued as late as 1920.^[5] However, Albert died on 17 May 1926 in Dalton, Muskegon County, Michigan.^[6] He is buried in Beaver Dam City Cemetery in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin.^[7]
