It appears that Thomas Hunt was born about 1790 in Swinderby, Lincolnshire and baptised there on 18 March 1790. His parents were Thomas Hunt and Frances Jackson.
However there is also an earlier baptism record for a Thomas Hunt with parents Thomas and Frances.
Date: About Jul 30 1786
Place: Swinderby, Lincolnshire, England
Baptism: Jul 30 1786, Swinderby, Lincolnshire, England
This baptism date tallies with the year of birth and age at the time of his death recorded on his tombstone on Pitt Island (95).
Thomas was the son of Thomas Hunt and Frances Jackson. Their first son Thomas died in infancy, and their next son, born four years later, was also named Thomas.
This would make his age at the time of death 91, rather than 95.
