Biography
Stewart was born in 1876.in Ballytober, Islandmagee, County Antrim, Ireland, the son of James Hunter and Jane Taylor.[1]
In 1898 he married Margaret Ross in 2nd Islandmagee Presbyterian Church. He was a seaman from Islandmagee and she was a 19 year old, also from Islandmagee. The witnesses were Matthew and Mary Eliza Ross.[2]
