Descendant of William Hickok, immigrant ancestor of Farmington, Colony of Connecticut.

William Hurlock III died young.

William Spry Turner Hurlock, III^[1] was born 20 September 1934 in Williamsport, Lycoming Co., Pennsylvania.^[2][3][4] He was the son of William Spry Turner Hurlock Jr. and Avis Anne Hickok.^[5][2][3]

William was only 4 months old when he suddenly died from accidental suffocation in the sleeping crib on 28 January 1935 at home, 201 North Front Street, Harrisburg, Dauphin Co., Pennsylvania.^[2][5][3][4]

Private funeral services were held 30 January 1935 at the Hickok home, the Very Rev. J. Thomas Heistand, dean of St. Stephen's Episcopal Cathedral, officiating.^[5]

Burial was most likely on 30 January 1935 at Harrisburg Cemetery, Harrisburg, Dauphin Co., Pennsylvania. (Death certificate has burial date of 30 January 1935 -- consistent with the date of the funeral services -- while The Hickok Genealogy has a burial date of 31 January 1935.)^[2][3][4][5]
