Polly (Ingalls) Quiner was born in Appalachia, in New York.

Pauline Melona Ingalls was born 14 October 1841 in Cuba, New York^[1] to Lansford Ingalls and Laura Louise Colby

The family was living in Campton, Kane, Illinois in 1850, where her father was working as a laborer. She married Henry Quiner in about 1859 and went to Wisconsin to raise there family.

She died 28 November 1886 or 1888^[1]and was buried in Harney, Pennington, South Dakota in the Harney City Cemetery^[1]
