Hi & Welcome to WikiTree! I saw your comment sent to Magna Carta Project's Trail Tracks page - small world! I'm a co-leader of the project but the small world part is that I became involved with it when one of the previous leaders posted "Category: Questionable Ancestors" to the profile of my ancestor John Awbrey. I tried for years to move him to "Category: Gateway Ancestors" but no luck. Still, I am confident that his descendants and ancestors in WikiTree are correct, which means I'm pretty sure that WikiTree is correct when it says that you & I are 7th cousins - both descendants of Frances (Tanner) Awbrey (abt.1694-1744).

Pleased to meet you cousin!!

Cheers, Liz

Very happy to meet you! I have enjoyed working on this line. It definitely shows where some of my close relations have gotten their quirks. How is line with the Charlemagne Order?

WikiTree says I'm a descendant of Charlemagne (Relationship Finder), but I haven't checked that line past Maurice Berkeley (1330-1368) - his father, Thomas (Berkeley) de Berkeley (abt.1296-1361), is in a badged Magna Carta Project trail. The connection to Charlemagne goes through Maurice's mother.

Hi Rose.

Congratulations on certifying to work on pre-1700 profiles! It’s very important to read and understand the Pre-1700 Profiles page. These profiles for deep ancestors are shared by many and collaborating on them works best if we all follow the guidelines in the certification quiz.

Primary sources should always be added to pre-1700 profiles at the time they are created. If you don't have a source for a pre-1700 profile, it would be best to ask for help in the G2G forum before creating the profile.

Hi, Rose!

We are so happy you decided to upgrade to the Family Member level.

Please visit our tutorial pages to learn how to use WikiTree: How To Use WikiTree. They will save you time, energy, and frustration as you add your family profiles.

Exploring the site is the best way to learn. One way to do that is to check out the drop-down menus on the top right side of your profile page. Finding a known ancestor and collaborating with the profile manager is another great way to start.

Questions? You can always use the G2G link in the Help Menu to find answers.
