When Clayton Ellsworth Jenkins was born on September 29, 1925, in Swampscott, Massachusetts, his father, Earle, was 30 and his mother, Mary, was 25. Clayton served in WWII in the U.S. Navy on s.s Stembel DD644 He married Carryl May McDormand on July 8, 1946, in Topsfield, Massachusetts. They had 6 children in 17 years. He died on May 7, 1984, in Lynn, Massachusetts, at the age of 58, and was buried in his hometown.(4thson)
