Biography

George Eggleston Jeter, Jr., (his middle name was rarely used) was born on 22 Apr 1911 at Richmond, Virginia, United States. He was the son of George Jeter and Susan Braxton.

On 25 June 1939, at Norfolk, Virginia, aged 28, he married Mary Charlene Douthit, aged 27. The marriage was conducted by a minister of the Baptist Church. He was an insurance salesman resident at Norfolk, and they had obtained a marriage certificate on 21 June.

On 27 August 1958, they separated, and his wife obtained a divorce on 22 September 1959 at Norfolk. He was aged 48 and resident at Richmond.

He passed away on 6 April 1969 at Richmond Nursing Home, Richmond, aged 57. He had been resident at 1101 North 31st Street, Richmond. He was buried at Oakwood Cemetery in Richmond.
