He was in the Revolution from Ipswich. "Nehemiah Jewett, Ipswich, Private, Capt. Moses Jewett's troop of horse, Col. John Baker's (3d Essex Co.) Regt., which marched on the alarm of April 19, 1775 ; to Medford; service 3 days." [1]
