Hi - "needs" categories (such as the needs birth I added to a profile you manage) are not critiques of profiles. The category exists so that people more familiar with records in the area can find another record to enhance an existing profile that is already sourced. The Netherlands has a lot of digitized records so it is likely a birth record can be found by someone. The birth record may have more information, such as the profession of a child's parents. Getting a birth record is another way to confirm what you have. I am sorry if my placing the category in the profile appeared as some sort of judgement on that profile.

Hi Laura,

Congratulations on being Pre-1700 certified!

Because pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants, coordination is essential. Thanks for joining the US_HISTORY Project.

Hi

You've been a member for about a week so I thought I would check in to see how it's going. Have the How-Tos been helpful or left you with questions? Most of us have questions after all that information!

I want to help! Click my name, send me a private message or ask in the comment section of my page. Sometimes links don't work in emails. If that's happened to you, check the public comments on your profile. The links will work from there.

PS To find reliable sources for your profiles, go to the Family Tree & Tools tab; select Genealogy Research and scroll down near the bottom of that list and select Research with RootsSearch. There are over 20 websites to access from there.

Welcome back Laura!

Since you confirmed as a full member I am happy to welcome you to the WikiTree community! To help save you time, energy and frustration, please start with our New Member How-To pages.

Click the green Tag on your profile page, you'll see others following the same things you are researching. The more Tags you add that include locations, periods of history or other genealogical interests, the more links to the community research options.

Please ask if you have any questions as I am always happy to help!

Cindy ~ WikiTree Greeter

PS If you ever get a "Page Not Found" error when you click a link in a WikiTree email, you can usually find a functioning link in the public comments section of your profile page.

Welcome to WikiTree!

Just a note to say hi and to let you know that I'm available to answer questions about WikiTree. You can contact me by clicking the link to my name, then sending a private message or posting a comment on my profile page.
