Martha (Johnson) Gross was born on 24 Sep 1861 in Breathitt, Kentucky, United States, daughter of Col. Thomas Henderson Johnson CSA (1829 - 1907) and Maranda Combs (1841 - 1916).
Martha (18) married Elisha Gross (~21) (~1858 - 1914) on 21 Jun 1880 in Jackson, Kentucky. [1] In the marriage record she is listed as 15 and him 22.
In the 1910 census Marthie (age 44) was the wife of Lish Grass in Terry, Breathitt, Kentucky.[2]
