Research Notes
Notes from external profile
Note: William and Mary were married prior to 1650 as they were sued by Francis Bright on November 5, 1650. William was granted 150 acres in Norfolk County, Virginia on November 5, 1665 for importing three people: Edward James, Mary Jones and John Harris. On December 17, 1675, William was granted a certificate for land for transporting Mary, his wife, among others. It appears that the Mary Jones
that William received land for importing in 1665, was his wife.
After the death of her husband William, Mary married Edward Browne. Edward died by July 21, 1711 and left a will. In it he mentions his wife Mary and a son William.
