Lewis Jones was born 11 May 1786, Chatham County, North Carolina, and died 22 June 1863, Chatham County, North Carolina. [1] He was the son of Edmund Jones (1749-1834) and Rachel Alston (1747-1833).[2]
Lewis Jones and Ruth Headen (1788-1881) were married about 1806 in North Carolina.
Lewis was an executor of his father's will dated in 1834.
He was an attorney for his brother Willis.
Lewis Jones will written 16 April 1863, proven August 1863, in his will he mentions his wife Ruth. Ruth died in 1881.
