Levi Torrey Sr., son of Jonathan Torrey and Mercy Staples, was born on 8 December 1788 in Deer Isle, Hancock County, Maine, USA. He died on 2 March 1863 at the age of 74 in Swan's Island, Hancock County, Maine, USA. He was buried in Rose Hill cemetery, Atlantic. A farmer. Came to Swan's Island from Deer Isle in 1814.
