Biography

Ethel May Keeler was born on August 22, 1890, in Diamond Lake, Lincoln, Minnesota to H.R. Keeler and Nettie Shuttleworth.^[1] She completed through the eighth grade.^[2]

In 1895, she was living with her parents, four full siblings, and his two half-siblings in Diamond Lake, Lincoln County, Minnesota. ^[3]

By 1900, her family, including her parents and five siblings were still living in Diamond Lake.^[4] By 1905, they had moved to Ross Lake in Crow Wing, Minnesota with all five of her siblings.^[5], four of whom were still living with them there at the time of the 1910 census.^[6]

She was married to James Toudt on August 3,1916.^[7]

By 1930, they had moved to Chicago, Cook, Illinois, where they lived at 3521 Keating Avenue with their four children.^[8] Sometime between 1935 and 1940, they moved to Flambeau, Price, Wisconsin, where four of their children and their granddaughter, Florence McNeth, lived with them.^[2]

She died on December 4, 1975, in Wisconsin.^[9] She is buried at Two Lakes Cemetery in Phillips, Price County, Wisconsin.^[10]
