James Thomas Keener was born in 1896. He was the son of Terry Albert Keener and Maranda Altha Dykes. He passed away in 1941 at age 44.

James Thomas Keener was called Jim T. Keener or Jimmie T. Keener.

James Thomas Keener married Winnie Lesley on June 15, 1920 in Norman, Cleveland County, Oklahoma.

James Thomas Keener died on May 6, 1941 at 220 NW Seventh, Amarillo, Potter County, Texas. He was 44 years old. The cause of death was heart failure. On the certificate of death he was listed as divorced. The informant was Ebb Keener, his brother, who listed his residence of Borger Texas.

Of interest is that the "Occupation" box on the certificate of death states "Veteran's Hospital". It is unclear if James worked at the Veteran's Hospital, or if that is where he passed away.
