John was born about 1804 at Ash, Kent, England[1][2][3] and baptised 13th May 1804 at St. Nicholas, Ash, Kent, England, the son of John Kemp & Sarah Kemp[4]
On the 14th October 1828, John and his wife-to-be Sarah Davis were witnesses at the marriage of John's brother Isaac Kemp to Amelia Jacobs at St. Nicholas, Ash, Kent, England[5].
On the 13th October 1829, John married Sarah Davis at St. Vincent, Littlebourne, Kent, England. Witnessed by William Reynolds & Rachel Huckstep[6]
Between 1841 and 1851, John was occupied as a brewer's servant[7][1], living next door to the malster and brewery, probably in one of the neighbouring cottages.
John Kemp aged 78 years, died in 1880 in Kent and was buried 7th January 1880 at St. Vincent, Littlebourne, Kent, England.[8]
