Alexander Keyser was born in 1794, a son of John Keyser and Catherine Rhinehart. In 1820, Alexander married Nancy Ann Koontz, a daughter of Isaac Newton Koontz, Sr (1767-1834) and Susannah (Kiblinger) Koontz (1777-1846) [1]
Alexander is found on the United States census of 1860, living in District 1, Page county, Virginia.[2] Alexander is found as the head of household on the United States census of 1870. His wife, Nancy, and 35 year old Susan Keyser are living with him. [3]
According to the death notice published in the Page Courier on November 26, 1872, Alexander was born in Page County, Virginia and died November 20, 1872 in Page County, at the age of 78 years, seven months and nine days. Alexander is buried in the Keyser Family Graveyard in Alma, Page County, Virginia. His Find A Grave memorial lists eleven children.[4]
