Her mother Mary Kilpatrick was heavily pregnant when she boarded the Asia in 1854 with her husband Andrew and their five children, arriving Hobson's Bay, Victoria, Australia 30 December 1854.^[3] The sixth child, Agnes, was born during the voyage.
