1851 Census: William Street, Kensington, Middlesex, England. Andrew Kilpatrick 36 (Poplar, Middlesex) Stone Maker Journeyman, Mary 33 (Covent Garden, Middlesex), Mary Ann 7, Andrew 5, Francis 2, Alexander 0.^[2]

His mother Mary Kilpatrick was heavily pregnant when she boarded the Asia in 1854 with her husband Andrew and their five children, arriving Hobson's Bay, Victoria, Australia 30 December 1854.^[3] The sixth child, Agnes, was born during the voyage.

Andrew married Christina McKenzie 1872 in Victoria.^[4]
