Bio: SPRINGFIELD - Charlotte Titus, 84, of Springfield died at 7:24 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2008, at her daughter's home. She was born Sept. 9, 1924, in Springfield, the daughter of Rufus W. and Minnie Anderson King. She married Noel F. Titus on Sept. 22, 1951; he preceded her in death on Nov. 7, 1984.

She also was preceded in death by her parents; son, Ronald McGuire; two brothers, Sherman and Manford King; eight sisters, Mildred Hohimer, Leona Helmer, Fern Willey, Amanda Hinkle, Geraldine Alexander, Rachael Cline, Virginia Buckman and Alberta Gregg.

She is survived by companion, Hugh Haney of Springfield; a daughter, Cynthia Titus of Rochester; a daughter-in-law, Sue McGuire of Springfield; a step-son, Harold Lee (wife; Sharon) Titus of Cumming, Ga.; five grandchildren, Maureen (husband, Andy) Capranica, Michelle (husband, Earl) Julian, both of Spaulding, and Jacob, Tracie and Zachary Roy, all of Rochester; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins, including Jeri Lynn Abbott of Dawson.

She was a lifelong resident of Springfield.

She was the secretary of Woodside Township office for many years.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and AARP.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 26, 2008, at Staab Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be begin at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept, 27, 2008, at Staab Funeral Home, with the Rev. Dr. Thomas Radtke officiating. Burial will be at Oak Ridge Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Memorial Hospice Care.
