Biography
James A. Kirby was born in 1806 in North Carolina, [1] the child of James A., Sr. He is listed in the household of his father on the census of 1810, 1820, & 1830. He married Susan K. Joice on September 1, 1831. [2] They had nine children in 25 years. In 1851, he is listed at the estate sale of his father in Henry County. [3] He died about 1860, in Tennessee, at the age of 54.
