Charlie was born in 1892. He was the son of James Kirkland and Delilah Chiles. He is listed with his parents on the 1900 Census[1] and the 1910 Census.[2] On November 10, 1912 he married Earlie Mae Mills (1897–1980) in Monroe, Tennessee.[3] They are listed together on the following census reports:
Based on the information provided in the census reports; it is believed that Charlie and Earlie had at least thirteen children. He passed away in 1982.[7]
