Biography

Margaret Thelma Kitchens was born on August 15, 1901, in Waldo, Columbia, Arkansas. She was the daughter of James Monroe Kitchens and Margarette Franklin Sherrill, who had six other children. She grew up in Magnolia, Arkansas, where she lived until 1924. On December 24 of that year, she married Harvey Buell Loomis, a man from Columbia, Arkansas. They moved to Texarkana, Arkansas, where they lived for the rest of their lives. Margaret Thelma did not have any children of her own. She witnessed the deaths of both her parents in the 1930s. She died on October 29, 1952, in Texarkana, Texas, at the age of 51. She was buried in Texarkana, Bowie County, Texas.
