Jacob Kline was born 4 Oct 1860 in the Moseytown section of Wilkes-Barre, Luzerne, Pennsylvania.[1][2] He was the eldest of four children born to immigrant parents Barbara Milhizer and Nicholas Klein.
On his 23rd birthday, his mother presented him with a family Bible.[3]
Jacob married Mary Elizabeth Dobson on 5 Apr 1893 at 36 Jones Street, Wilkes-Barre, Luzerne, Pennsylvania[4] The couple raised two children:
Jacob worked as a machinist. He was employed by the railroad for about 40 years, and later worked for Vulcan Iron Works in Wilkes-Barre.
Jacob died 9 Feb 1945 at his home at 30 Westminster Street, Wilkes-Barre, Luzerne, Pennsylvania. His cause of death was uremia due to chronic myocarditis.[2][1] He was buried on 12 Feb 1945 in Lot #120, Fair Lawn section, Oak Lawn Cemetery, Hanover Township, Luzerne, Pennsylvania.[5][2][6]
