Biography

He is the son of Joseph Knowles and Mary Swearingen. In 1850, the family was living in Baker County, Georgia.[1] Found on the 1860 Claiborne Parish, LA census with Joseph E. Knowles family; remained in LA after family move to Texas c. 1867. Perhap buried in Lincoln, Parish, Louisiana.
