Household members were Charles Knudson, 45 (born January 1835), a dealer in produce; his wife Emily Knudson, 40 (born March 1860); daughter Lysle Knudson, 16 (born September 1883); daughter Luella Knudson, 11 (born September 1888); daughter Ethel, 9 (born December 1890); son Earl J. Knudson, 6 (born September 1893); daughter Ray Knudsen, 3 (born November 1896); and daughter Opel, 1 (born October 1898). All were born in Utah; Charles's parents were born in Denmark and Emily's parents were born in England. Charles and Emily had been married 20 years; Emily had had 9 children, of whom 6 were living.[2]
