Margaret Kyle was born in Lisnacloon, Castelderg, County Tyrone, Northern Ireland. She was baptised in St Bestius Church, Killeter 19th Nov 1863, so the assumption is she was born that year.
On 9th February 1865 Margaret and her family departed Liverpool, England on the immigrant ship Maryborough as Free passengers. The record states she was 1 yrs old which also suggests she was born in in late 1863. Margaret never made it to Australia, it is believed she died of a typhoid outbreak on the ship.
