Samuel Lambert was born on Martha's Vineyard in 1693, a son of Jonathan and Elizabeth (Eddy) Lambert; he married first, Mary Coomer, in the spring of 1717. Widowed about 1765, he subsequently married second, the twice-widowed Abigail (Cottle) [Presbury] Luce. He died on the Vineyard in late September of 1786.
