Biography

Florinda Cathrine Landes was born in 1851 in Indiana to Fredrick Landes and Lydia Dunkin. She was the eldest of 6 children. She was in their home at age 9, in Carrollton, Carroll Co., Indina along with Orlane Judson Landes -5, and William James Landes-5 months.^[1]

She married Asbury E. Cook on February 13, 1869, in Carroll Co., Indiana.^[2] Children;

1. Mary Cook (1869- bef. 1880)
2. Oren Judson Cook (1871-)

They were living on a farm in Carrollton, Carroll co., Indiana in 1870 where at this time she was 19 years old and they had their first child, Mary Cook 7 mo. old.^[3] in 1880 they were still in Carrollton Township, with their son Oren age 9.^[4]

She died sometime after 1880.
