Mary was born about 1736. She was the daughter of John Lane and Mary Unknown. She married Samuel Pittman abt 1760. She passed away 2 Oct1811.
According to a will fora Samuel Pittman (1736-1812), his wife was Mary Lane, daughter of John and Mary Lane and grand daughter of Joseph Lane and Patience McKinnie.

THERE is major error in the Boddie Book. Mary (Lane) Pittman is the daughter of John Lane (1698-1776) and A Mary UNKNOWN.

There is no memorial grave for Mary at Find A Grave. Bu a non-stone memorial grave for Samuel Pittman (1736-1812) in Halifax, NC mentions her.

Samuel wrote his Will on Sept. 6, 1811, and it was probated at May Sessions of Court, 1812.
