Marie Elisabeth Langille was born in 1760 and baptized May 22, 1760, the daughter of David Langille and Catherine Bezanson of Lunenburg, Nova Scotia[1][2][3]
Between 1771 and 1773, she relocated with her family to Tatamagouche, where they were among the first English-authorized settlers following the Acadian expulsion.[4][2]
Circa 1783, she married widower George Tattrie, another Montbéliard-born migrant who settled in Lunenburg and Tatamagouche[2][3]. She was his fourth wife, but the mother of all his children. They included[5][6] :
George, born October 16, 1784, who married Margaret, daughter of George Mettetal[2]
Louis, born circa 1785, who married Eleanor, daughter of Jean-Frederic Petriquin[2]
David, born circa 1790, who married Catherine, daughter of Jean George Langille[2]
Punch indicates she was living in 1805, so this profile shows she died some time after 1805[2]
