Ray(sic) S. Laphan(sic) was born 3 Dec 1879 in Cuyahoga, Ohio the son of Owen & Mary H Laphan.^[1]

Note Roy's birth record gives his dob as 3 Dec 1879 which agrees with his being 7 months old in June of 1880 and would suggest George's dob as 1878 not 1879,

Roy Simon Lapham registered for the draft 12 Sep 1918 in Vermilion Parish, Louisiana. He was listed as 37, giving his date of birth as 3 Dec 1880, his home address as Perry, Vermillion Parish and his wife as Jennie (Bash) Lapham.^[6]

Roy Simon Lapham was born 3 Dec 1879 in Lakewood, Cuyahoga County, Ohio, and died 25 Dec 1933 (aged 54) in Alvin, Brazoria County, Texas. He was buried in the Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves, Jefferson County, Texas.
