Biography

Claire Lapierre was born about 1753 in Petitcoudiac, Acadia, the daughter of Joseph Lapierre and Marguerite Brun.[1]

Claire married widower Amand Surette about 1781.[1] Their children were:

  1. Jean Amable Surette (about 1782–1867)
  2. Osite Surette (about 1784– )
  3. Gertrude Surette (about 1788–1826)
  4. Ludivine Surette (1794–1874)

Claire died on 8 Jan 1814 in Cocagne, and her funeral was held on 16 Jan 1814 in Grande-Digue.[2][3] She was noted as being 61 years of age, the wife of Amant Suret.
