Bio for Pride Foundation volunteer application (75 words – updated January 2021): Rebecca Laszlo lives in downtown Seattle with her spouse. She is an independent consultant to the nonprofit sector as a certified Interim Executive Director. She is a founding board member of a nascent nonprofit, We Heart Seattle. The first 25 years of her career were in high tech database and human resources work, including 15 years at Microsoft. A large part of her 11 year nonprofit career was working to end homelessness and alleviate extreme poverty. Rebecca is an active community volunteer. She holds a donor advised fund at Pride Foundation, and graduated the Out In Front LGBTQ leadership program.
Professional bio: Rebecca Laszlo is an independent consultant serving the nonprofit sector in the Puget Sound region, with particular focus upon organizations working to end homelessness and alleviate extreme poverty. The first 25 years of her career was spent in high tech database and human resources work, 15 years of which were at Microsoft. She’s known for program and staff management, promoting organizational cohesiveness, analytical thinking, and converting visions into achievable strategies. Rebecca is an active volunteer with the Mount Baker Community Club and Plymouth Housing Group.
Client projects include: * Produce well-researched options for future organizational sustainability and transitional housing conversion for FUSION of Federal Way, an all-volunteer nonprofit providing 16 transitional housing units to homeless families in Federal Way and NE Tacoma. * Interim program management for Committee to End Homelessness in King County, including research on other community Ten Year Plan progress, focus groups with winter shelter programs, and “founding” staff person for Planner Staff Group. * Co-planning and facilitating a CEO-sponsored Blue Ribbon Committee to complete strategic planning for Nikkei Concerns, a nonprofit providing health and related services in a traditional atmosphere primarily to elderly Nikkei (Japanese) in Seattle. * Other projects include: program management to the Committee to End Homelessness Immigrant and Refugee Workgroup to create the Immigrant and Refugee Recommendations.

I work in nonprofit organizations as an Interim Executive Director and volunteer Board Member. I have a 35 year relationship with my partner/spouse, who is a 64 year old American woman. We both love to travel.
