Biography
John was born to Selena Hays and George Law about 1865 in Kentucky, according to the 1870 census information. His middle name is probably Taylor- his paternal uncle was Frances Taylor Law, "Frank" the 6th son in the family. Taylor may have been the maiden name of a great-grandmother, so perhaps passing on family connections, a southern naming pattern still important. I have no other information about him. (May 1, 2015)
