Gardiner Howland Leavitt, son of Rufus Leavitt and Annabella Edgar (Howland) Leavitt, was born on 12 July 1845 at Flushing, Long Island, New York.[1][2]
He married Amelia Willets[2] daughter of Robert Willets and Margaret Ann (Willets) Willets.[3]
He was a capitalist when he and Amelia appeared on the census of 1 June 1900 at Queens, Queens, New York.[4]
