Sara Willets Leavitt, daughter of Gardiner Howland Leavitt and Amelia (Willets) Leavitt, was born in April 1880. She appeared on the census of 1 June 1900 in the home of her parents at Queens, Queens, New York.[1]
She married Charles Garrison Meyer, son of Cord Meyer,
She and Charles appeared on the census of 29 April 1930 at Queens, Queens, New York. In addition to her family there were thirteen servants, a butler, a cook, three maids, two holsters, two gardeners, two sailors, and two chauffeurs.[2]
Sara died on 31 March 1939 at Manhattan, New York[3] and was buried at Flushing Cemetery, Flushing, Queens County, New York. Her memorial has a photo of her headstone.[4]
