Biography

Henry was born in 1895. He is the son of Lawrence Lermit and Frances Radcliffe.

He was christened on 6 January 1895 at Howrah, Bengal, India^[1].

He married Kathleen F Elsmore in 1916 in Stafford, Staffordshire, England^[2].

Henry served in the 1st World War, with the 11th Lancashire Fusiliers as a 2nd Lieutenant. He entered the Theatre of War in France on 25 August 1916. He progressed to the rank of Captain.

In the 1939 England and Wales Register he was living with his wife Kathleen at 12 Sherard Road, Woolwich, London, England. Also in the household were their two sons Laurence John (b. 27 Sept 1916) and Ivor Carlton (b. 4 Apr 1919), and one other individual, Maie Webster (b. 2 May 1909).

Occupation: Civil Servant. Inland Revenue Clerk

His son Laurence died in 1953.

His wife Kathleen died in 1973.

Henry married, secondly, Estelle Lillian Corinna Shobbrook in Devon, England in 1973^[3].

In 1975 his other son Ivor passed away.

His wife Estelle died on 4 May 1985.

Henry passed away on 21 June 1985^[4]. His will was proved on 29 July 1985 at Bristol.
